It's Really Ok to Ask for Help

I almost rarely ask for help. I don't like to. I like doing things on my own. Showing the world what I'm capable of doing. Without any assistance. When it comes to training and work, I almost never ask for help.

Recently, I had no choice but to get help. That is one of the lessons I learned from the Spartan. The other day, I was texting a friend, bitching about taking pictures of myself and how bad they always look. So she stole a picture from my site (I know that's where you got it!) and edited it. And I really loved it!!!

If you've been following me for awhile now, you know me taking pictures of myself is rare. I don't do selfies. If I do, I'm with my daughter or it's one of those Stop Drop and Selfie type things. Which always happen when I'm at work. Seriously people, when you tag me in stuff like that, make sure I'm not at work.

Even training videoes and pictures are hard to do. For multiple reasons. I feel like a massive ass when I take pictures of myself at a real gym. Which I recently discovered I'm not the only one in the world that thinks that way. I swim and it's really hard to take pictures of myself in the water with my phone. Like I would need a new phone and I'm not willing to spend the money on one. It's next to impossible taking pictures of myself with my gloves on. Have you tried boxing and taking your own pictures? Yeah, not easy unless you have someone there. Then theres the other issue. I just forget to do it. I spend about ten minutes focusing on workout and what I have to do that taking pictures is not even on my mind. It's like meditiation before training. I started doing that a few weeks ago, and I highly recommend it.

The conversation we had was way more extensive. But I asked her going forward if she can edit my pictures. Not the ones I take for people. But pictures of me. And she agreed. Needless to say I almost burst into tears I was so happy. Now I just need to find a producer for my podcast.

I'm here to tell you it's Ok! Seriously! It is 100% ok to ask for help. Whether you need help in the gym, or in your business. You would be surprised how many people would drop what they're doing and help you out!

Do you have issues asking for help?
