Planning for the Future: The Goals I Have for My Business

I spent the majority of the weekend thinking where I want to go with both and the Daily Donut Podcast. It was something I thought about when I first launched my website and decided to do the podcast. I put minimal thought into it at first, thinking along the way I’ll come up with something tangible. And I did. Over the last few months, I really focused on where I want everything to go. But I never put it in list form. For those that don’t know, I’m a list/planner type person. I mean come on, I have a notebook dedicated to my tasks and three planners to help keep my life in check. For my company goals, I never fully put them into list form. Until now.

My main goal is also my life goal. To really make a difference in the world. I know, to some it seems so lame. But to me, it’s something I’ve always wanted to accomplish. To truly make a difference. A real difference. To make lives better, to help the environment. All of the above.

Creating jobs:

  • For my main site, plus the podcast, I want to create at least five jobs. Office jobs. Where the schedule is flexible, people are paid fairly, and together we can create an amazing company.

  • I don’t want to open up just one gym, I want to open up at least ten. Creating fifteen to twenty jobs per gym.

Donating to a cause:

  • There are so many causes that I want to help. And just don’t currently have the funds to do so. I want my company to be in a place one day where we can make annual donations to a cause of our choice.

  • Yearly races to support the cause of our choice.

Green Energy:

  • Global warming is an actual thing, regardless of what certain politicians believe. All of the gyms, plus the corporate office will be going green.

  • Investing in local companies that use green energy.

Helping others:

  • Getting started in fitness or creating a healthy lifestyle can be expensive. And the cost of trainers is high. Some people just can afford it, and rely on poor information to help them get by. I would love to have the ability to help those who truly need it to reach their goals.

  • Creating a scholarship fund for local female high school/college athletes.

  • Creating a support network for men and women. A centralized hub where they can converse and support each other.

Body Image:

  • Body image is such a big thing, especially for women. We often think very negatively of our appearance. Aside from promoting positive body image as much as possible, all of my models for my products will vary in age, size, sex, and ethnicity.

Aside from all of the above, I have other plans for the future too. But trying to not give everything away. To get things started, I will be having a photoshoot in March/April. This will include a large variety of men and women. All different sizes and shapes. But with one common theme. They all are into fitness. This shoot is to show that anyone can be into the fit life. Not just those people with abs.

In other news, I’ll be creating an Indiegogo campaign for my site. These funds will help pay for the photoshoot expenses as well as new technology to help me with my business. In the next two weeks, I’ll be working on filming the video as well as the overall creation of the page. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me at any time.
