I did it.
I signed up for my first half marathon. First one ever! I’m not going to lie…. I’m terrified. It’s 13.1 miles of running. The one thing I LOATHE the most! But…. if Ashley Horner can run 280 miles in 6 days. I can do 13.1 miles in a few hours. Right?
So here it goes. I, Kristy Kronas, begin my half marathon training on Tuesday. Why Tuesday and not right now? Tuesday, Thursdays and Saturdays are my running days. For a few months, I was doing great. Running three times a week and slowly making my time better and better. Then. I stopped. Why? Life just caught up to me and I got really really busy. Then I wasn’t able to sleep well. So lots of stuff really.
Anyway, so training begins on Tuesday. June 7th. Originally, I was going to start earlier, but my LCL decided to flare up again. But on top of this Half that I’m doing in October. I decided to do another one in January. And potentially another one (yes, I am this crazy) in September. Someone says to me, “Wanna do a race?” My brain says “NO!!! RUN AWAY!!!” But my mouth says “YES! Let’s do it!!” Clearly, my brain is smarter, but my mouth is louder.
Anyone else hate running as much as I do?
